ELMHURST, IL – Three Elmhurst men were arrested on domestic battery charges over the weekend. Here is information from the police reports:
Andrew G. Larson, 26, of Elmhurst, was arrested about 3 p.m. Sunday in the 300 block of Holly Avenue on two counts of domestic battery. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail. According to a police report, a woman and Larson had a disagreement over the use of a closet. She told police Larson pushed her twice, threatened to hurt family members and threatened to burn the house down. She said she was injured as a result of being pushed. Joseph M. Cascella, 26, of Elmhurst, was arrested Sunday in the 600 block of Crockett on two counts of domestic battery and one count of interfering with the reporting of a domestic battery. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail. According to a police report, a woman said Cascella struck her as she attempted to separate him from another man. Cascella then pulled a handful of hair out of the woman's head as he tried to prevent her from calling 911. He has been arrested a number of times in Elmhurst. Joel M. Villegas, 50, of Elmhurst, was arrested about 5 p.m. Saturday in the 500 block of Van Auken Street on two counts of domestic battery. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail. A witness told police that after hearing a call for help, she saw Villegas choking a person. Police report information is provided by local police departments. Charges are not evidence of guilt.
