BIRMINGHAM, MI — Pedestrian signals and a flashing crosswalk sign is coming to a busy stretch of road in Birmingham, WXYZ reported. According to the report, the Michigan Department of Transportation plans to install a pedestrian countdown signal on the southbound side of Woodward, between Forest and Brown. They're also planning to add a signal on the northbound side, but it will only stop traffic if a pedestrian presses the button. Two people were struck and killed this year crossing Woodward, including a woman in September. Live in Birmingham?
