The “TUFF ON THA TURF” State Preview tournament is a preliminary event taking place months before the actual State Championship Tournament* Divisions The tournament is broken down into divisions based upon age and competition. All divisions in tournament play allow co-ed competition but have no requirements on gender specific participation. Recreational Competitive Pro 18(O) U24/O35 U24/O35 Game Play Tournament play will follow modified FFWCT league rules. Each team will play (3) pool games for seeding before entering a single elimination tournament. Awards Team and individual recognition will be awarded for participants in various categories. These awards range from medals and trophies to automatic bids and cash prizes. Team Awards 1st Place Cash prize*, automatic, paid bid to FFWCT, oversized trophy, plaque with team photo 2nd Place Cash prize*, paid bid to Regional championship, ½ paid bid to FFWCT, trophy, runner up plaque Individual Awards Tournament MVP Cash prize, medal, oversized trophy Offensive MVP Medal, sponsor gift, plaque Defensive MVP Medal, sponsor gift, plaque *The cash prize amount is based on participation of at least 8 teams in each division. Eligibility Each participating team is required to submit a registration form along with a registration fee of $650 per team. Team rosters may include a maximum of (15) players in 5v5 play but may start a game with as few as (3) players. 7v7 and 8v8 have a roster max of (20) and may start a game with as few as (5) players. Players are only allowed to play on one team per tournament in each age division. Uniforms Teams are responsible for providing their own uniforms for the tournament (uniforms are available for rental for a daily rental fee of $50/day). Players must have matching tops and dark shorts that contrast with their opponents’ tops. Bottoms may NOT have pockets on them. It is recommended that teams have more than one set of uniforms for tournament play. Shirts must be tucked in to prevent flag guarding, crop tops are allowed. Officials (1) game official will be provided for each pool game and (2) officials for single elimination tournament play. The Regional Championship will take place in Brevard County Florida December 3rd – 5th, 2021. *SOCIAL DISTANCING GUIDELINES ARE IN FULL EFFECT. TEMPERATURES WILL BE TAKEN AND MASKS ARE REQUIRED FOR ALL SPECTATORS AND PARTICIPANTS WHEN NOT ON THE FIELD.
