This is a By the Job By Bid Basis! Must have own tools and Transportation. We are in need of a Maintenance Technician and Remodeler. The position does require Previous maintenance experience. This is not a full time job but with the opportunity to possible join our team full time in the future please answer all the questions below. Incomplete information will not be even looked at. If you do not have your own tools and or transportation please do not apply. Please note this will be on a by job basis with the opportunity to get hired on full time. That being said we have several projects going right now that need repaired. Reports to: Property Manger Position Overview: Responsible for performing routine maintenance and repair of buildings and grounds as directed by management. Essential Job Functions: Respond to resident requests for maintenance service in a prompt and courteous manner. Repair and maintain simple electrical circuits, switches, outlets and lighting fixtures. Repair, install and maintain basic plumbing fixtures such as water heaters, lavatories, toilets, and faucets Etc Repair and maintain building exteriors Repair and painting of vacant units. Perform emergency repairs. General repair and replace of Vynal tile and other flooring systems. Replace damaged doors and door knobs Patch and Repair Sheetrock and match texture, Comply with the company's and the community's operating and safety policies and procedures and adhere to federal, state and local laws pertaining to the operation of the community. Comply with all fair housing laws. Foster and maintain positive resident relations. Other misc not mentioned here. Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent. Basic Carpentry Skills 1 or more years of progressively responsible experience in the maintenance /basic repair of, mechanical and electrical systems, plumbing, and grounds in multi-family or commercial developments. Available to work weekends, holidays and on-call. Must have and maintain a valid driver's license. Able to work overtime and emergency call in. Must be able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Must be able to read and comprehend the English language.
