New Providence Missionary Baptist Church (5227 14th Ave) Columbus, Georgia is seeking a professional, well-trained musician to serve in the position of Musical Director. The position is accountable to the Pastor (currently vacant) or designated Church Official for providing leadership in the Music Ministry. The position will be responsible for planning, conducting, and oversight of weekly choir rehearsals and music for various worship services that meet the spiritual and inspirational needs of the members of New Providence. Must have experience as a worship leader, experience with both traditional Baptist hymns and contemporary music, ability to work with and teach voices of various ages and musical/vocal ability, as well as, direct other musicians.  Resumes will be accepted until December 31, 2021. This commitment means that the church musician has to coordinate with other members of the church, especially the pastor, to make sure that the music follows what the church leaders want to convey.
