We are looking for a motivated laborer to work alongside trained appliance technicians at Fort Hood. Applicant will perform duties full-time Monday through Friday. General Responsibilities: The following tasks are typical of this occupation: Cleans and sanitizes Dryer Vents; safely remove registers and returns and seal openings for cleaning, then replace properly; load and unload materials as needed; use basic tools for job task as necessary. Additionally, the ideal candidate will assist the appliance technician in day to day operations, to include but not limited to appliance moves and installation, preparing worksites to receive new appliances, and transporting appliances via mechanical lifting devices. Above all else, maintaining a safe working environment and employ safe work practices. Qualifications & Experience Requirements: Need reliable and motivated Vent Technician with customer service skills in an independent work environment. Candidate must be physically able to maneuver tall ladders and appliances, display mechanical ability, and show good problem-solving skills. Each candidate must provide 1-3 year’s work experience, a valid driver’s license, and be able to read and write in English. If selected, the candidate will provide a driving abstract and must pass a drug screening and background check. Related experience may be helpful in the following fields: Furnace/Air Duct Cleaning, Chimney Cleaning, and Appliance Repair. Physical Requirements: In an 8-hour day, must be able to continually bend, squat, kneel, lift, twist, climb, reach, stand and walk; to use hands for repetitive pushing, pulling, and single grasp motion; and to frequently lift and carry objects weighing up to 60 pounds, and to move objects in excess of 100 pounds, and travel by personal or company automobile to work location or to other destinations as required.
