Job Purpose: Supervises and coordinates the day-to-day maintenance and repair of buildings, grounds, and associated equipment for medical campus. Duties: - Oversees contractors and skilled trades that install, inspect, repair, and maintain building systems, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, safety, solar, and waste management. - Tracks facilities service requests and ensures requests are completed within established timelines and quality standards. - Schedules and ensures completion of preventative maintenance. - Maintains a safe and effective working environment. - Proactively look for maintenance issues that need attention and report to management. - Complete maintenance work that does not require skilled trades such as painting, trash collection, and minor repairs. - Maintain relationships with building tenants as the primary contact for building issues. - Assist visitors to find their way and feel welcome and safe at the campus. - Take after-hours emergency calls and contact appropriate maintenance companies to handle the issue. Skills/qualifications: - 3-5 years similar experience. Basic typing, math, accurate spelling and grammar. Good mechanical abilities and ability to troubleshoot is required. The successful candidate will be able to change course as the strategies of the company expand. The successful candidate will also be a problem solver, show attention to detail, have the ability to predict next steps, and maintain an organized system that assures all work is complete on time. A reliable means of transportation is necessary as there may be some light local travel required. Work Environment: This is a professional medical campus and the ability to interact with medical professionals is just as important as being able to interact with the skilled trades. The campus is open on weekdays but occasional weekend hours may be required depending on the state of the facilities. This position is expected to work approximately twenty hours per week on a regular basis. The opportunity to grow to full-time is expected. This is an hourly position, eligible for overtime.
