**NEED IMMEDIATE HIRE** General B contracting company currently looking for motivated individuals with at least one year of experience in the construction field to grow our team! If you desire to learn construction trades, this is a great opportunity for you. Contractor is willing to train on all aspects of construction to invest in long-term employees and facilitate career growth. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: - Assist Contractor and tradesmen on construction sites in demolition, framing, electrical, plumbing, insulation and drywall installation, debris removal, and site clean-up. - Assist tradesmen doing finish work, including painting, floor and tile installation, cabinetry and door installation, window installation, and exterior waterproofing and stucco application. - Load and offload materials, mix and pour materials, and occasional digging and trenching. - Maintain a clean work site, including, debris removal, sweeping, and organization of tools and materials. - Regular use of construction tools. - Communicate in a positive and professional manner, and have the ability to keep in constant communication with supervisors. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: - Frequent walking, lifting, bending, standing, reaching, squatting, and the ability to work on knees, and ascend/descend stairs. - Able to lift 75 lbs. - Able to work outside all day in inclement weather as needed. - Able to work on ladders and scaffoldings, up to 3-stories height. CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS: - Minimum 1-year construction experience. - Has a valid California driver's license. - Able to travel to various project locations within the County of Los Angeles. - Willingness to work occasional Saturdays based on customer needs. - Maintain a strong work ethic and be self-motivated. - Has good listening skills and an excellent ability to follow directions. - Willingness to advance and grow long-term within an expanding company. - Attention to detail and quality of finished product is a must.
