I just recently moved to Las Vegas from Los Angeles and am looking to form a new original band to jam and gig. I have been playing guitar my entire life and got into songwriting as a teenager. I am an ASCAP member as both a writer and publisher as well as former R&D engineer with Fender Musical Instruments Corporation, and have been involved with numerous musical projects throughout my life. I'd best describe my sound as a modern sounding blend of Motley Crue, Bon Jovi, and Van Halen as most of my influences come from that era and genre. I'm ideally looking to form a three or four member band with everyone having multi-instrumental and vocal abilities with a collection of songs they can bring to the table. Just to be up front, I have absolutely no interest whatsoever in being in a purely cover/tribute band although I don't mind throwing a few into the set until things get rolling. I'd like to play a collection of original songs and if things go well start writing and trying out new songs live before jumping into a new recording project.
