My sentiments exactly! It's all the same crap. No innovation, no challenge. With millions of songs to choose from, even from Tom Petty's extensive catalog, you still pick American Girl. Snore! How would you know what the audience would like if you never give them anything different? The LAST thing I enjoy seeing when I walk into a club is a bunch of old guys playing Led Zeppelin covers. Didn't you learn anything new in the last 30 years? Call yourself a musician, do you? Lame old setlists, lame old bands and then these same Luddites (look it up) complain that there's no music scene! Look in the mirror for the reason. Play something interesting and you will attract interesting people. We have a great opportunity right now to start over. But will you?
