Auto Detailer Position Shiny Solutions, a 5 Star Google review rated Auto Detailing service is seeking a detailer to join our team. Base hourly pay of $20/Hour PLUS tips. Opportunities for growth. Job Description: Cleans and details client vehicles adherent to selected package chosen by customer. Essential Duties • Washes vehicle exterior with power washer by hand, cleans interior and exterior windows, and wipes down doorjambs • Applies wax to auto body, and wipes or buffs surface • Vacuums interior of vehicles to remove loose dirt and debris • Cleans upholstery, rugs and other surfaces, using appropriate cleaning agents, applicators and cleaning devices • Applies revitalizers and preservation agents to interior vinyl or leather surfaces and treats fabrics with spot- and stain-resistant products • Cleans engine and engine compartment with steam-cleaning equipment and various cleaning agents • Applies special-purpose cleaners to remove foreign materials which normal cleaning procedures do not remove, utilizing experience and judgment and following product manufacturer's recommendations • Inspects vehicles for noticeable defects, such as dents, scratches, torn upholstery and poor mechanical operation • Restores appearance of engine area, rugs and upholstery and painted surfaces • Uses proper eye, hand and body protection when using products that require protection • Applies dressing on tires and tire wells • Keeps work area neat and clean • Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner • Reports any safety issues immediately to management • Other tasks as assigned Skills and Requirements • High School Degree or GED required • Valid, unrestricted Colorado driver’s license required • 3-6 months related experience is preferred • Must possess clean driving record and have excellent driving and parking skills • English language required (bilingual is a plus) • Must be able to read and comprehend simple instructions and short correspondence. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one with supervisor and customer and small group situations with customers • General basic math is required with ability pass test which includes addition, subtraction, multiplication and division in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals • Problem solving skills involving several concrete variables in standardized situations is required along with ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out written and verbal instructions • Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and frequently lift and/or move more than 50 pounds when needed • You will be regularly exposed to all weather elements included in a hand carwash environment Skills and Requirements • Paid Holidays/Vacation/Sick Leave Shiny Solutions is an equal opportunity employer.
