Description
On Friday General Colin Powell (USA-Ret) was memorialized at the National Cathedral in Washington D.C. The General was a trailblazer who showed the world that the possibility of America was open to all her citizens. From being the first African/American to hold the highest military position in our country's armed forces - Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff - to rising to the heights of American diplomacy as the 65th Secretary of State, the General was the peninsulate statesman and patriot.
Two former presidents, along with the lawfully and righteously elected current president, honored him by attending his funeral. Two of the former presidents not attending, the most honorable James Earl Carter and William Jefferson Clinton, were unable to attend because of illness or infirmary but sent their representative(s) and condolences to the Powell family. The other former president, the twice impeached Donald "Small Hands" Trump, was neither invited and/or unwilling to attend.
