Diesel Mechanic Job Description: Monday- Friday(8am-5pm) Our team is currently looking for an experienced Diesel Mechanic to keep up our level of commitment to safety and customer service. In this role, the successful candidate will perform truck repair and maintenance work in accordance with factory and industry standards, run diagnostics on vehicles and work closely with other team members to meet company goals. Diesel Mechanic responsibilities and duties: Perform minor and major repairs on trucks and trailers (brakes, tires, and PM's) Conduct regular preventative maintenance on trucks, including inspection, tire rotation and oil changes Maintain parts inventory and cleanliness in the shop Collaborate with repair team to diagnose problems with vehicles and plan repairs Perform regular diagnostic tests on trucks Maintain accurate records of each repair performed on vehicles Use diagnostic tools for vehicle troubleshooting Perform quality vehicle inspections prior to delivery Perform 24 hour road service Diesel Mechanic qualifications and skills: 1+ years' experience as a Diesel Mechanic or related experience Must possess a valid Ohio Driver's License, Valid CDL and asset Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Ability to pass a background check and drug test ASE Diesel Certification an asset Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills Must have the drive to promote within Must have own tools Benefits: $1000 sign on bonus Paid time and a half after 40 hours Paid vacation Paid holidays Boot allowance Uniform allowance Paid aflac benefits Weekly/monthly bonuses Health insurance and 401K
