An event that celebrates our cultures by participating in our cultural food, cultural attire, and music. Hosted by Suffolk UNICEF
The International Food Festival is Suffolk UNICEF's first major event! The event will bring students and clubs from various cultures and countries together here at Suffolk in the Sargent Ballroom on November 30, from 5:00-8:00 pm. The event is to celebrate different cultures and countries by dressing in cultural attire, bringing our cultural dishes, and listening to our native music. There will also be amazing activities available to our attendees such as henna tattoos and a performance from some of our dance groups here at Suffolk. Along with the events for the night, it will end off with a raffle and the lucky winners will be able to win some goodies. Suffolk UNICEF's main goal for this event is to raise awareness to the hunger and water crisis that are happening around the world. Suffolk UNICEF also hopes to raise awareness to the mental health crisis that is being overlooked by both developed and underdeveloped countries around the world. Suffolk UNICEF believes that by hosting events to bring people together and to raise awareness to an issue, we will be creating positive communication to strive for change, as well as enabling safe spaces for a positive learning experience.
ATTENTION: All non-Suffolk students will be required to pay a 2 dollar fee. Make sure if you are a Suffolk student to bring your ID because if you forget you will also be charged a 2 dollar fee!
