An eight week in-person course covering the how-to’s and the how-don’ts of video content creation. An eight week in-person course covering the how-to’s and the how-don’ts of video content creation. These classes are designed for actors, creatives, or writers who have a vision that they’d like to either create from scratch or refine with professional skills. All subjects are applicable to large scale productions as well, so this is a great opportunity to get familiar with production in a fun and engaging way. Curriculum includes: Cell Phone filming techniques using FilmicPro Proper lighting (ring lights, three points, daylight) White balance, color correction, focus peaking, frame rate, motion blur, stabilization, storage management, and more Makeup for camera (Masculine and Feminine) External microphones and the fundamentals of recording audio for film Synchronization between an external mic and a camera How to avoid clipping Microphone placement Room tone Editing with DaVinci Resolve (Free, industry standard Windows/Mac compatible) Quick workflows, proper rendering orders, color correction tools, LUTs Audio enhancements and correction such as de-noising and the fundamentals of EQ, audio compression, and limiting Publishing with proper settings to maintain high quality Fundamentals of bitrate, bit depth, and file types Join us for this class designed to take your projects above and beyond, and the chance to network with other creative individuals. We welcome everyone, even those without the necessary software, however, homework and class activities will require Filmic Pro ($14.99 on the App Store and Google Play), a computer for editing, and approximately 3 hours of homework per week, not including class time. Teacher bio: Evan Shwartz is an actor, performer, and producer from Oakland, California. He aims to support others by fueling the creative visions within the artistic community he holds so dearly. For his personal projects and self-tape auditions, he’s developed techniques for small-scale production that use concepts learned from his work on set and in post production for professional studios.
