With the public health risk posed by COVID-19, it was felt that there was no way to ensure that Volunteer Archaeology Lab days at the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources (SCDNR) Parker Annex Archaeology Center did not contribute to the spread of the novel coronavirus. Therefore, Volunteer Lab days at SCDNR's Parker Annex Archaeology Center will be canceled until further notice. We must take every precaution to protect our volunteers and staff.SCDNR wants to reiterate how much we hate to cancel Volunteer Archaeology Lab days, but with new recommendations from Gov. McMaster and the Center for Disease Control and Prevention regarding public gatherings, we felt it was necessary to do our part to help prevent the spread of this virus.
