Description

This class will cover the care and pruning of fig and pomegranate trees. Part of the class will be indoors and part outdoors for pruning. University of Nevada Cooperative Extension is an outreach arm of the University that extends unbiased, research-based knowledge to local communities. Educational programs and projects are developed based on local needs in partnership with other agencies and volunteers. The Research Center and Demonstration Orchard is part of Southern Nevada Extension. Master Gardener, Yutaka Nomura, will teach you how to care for your trees, how to keep them healthy and how to prune for best fruit production. Part of class instruction will be indoors, and part will be outdoors where the demonstration of the basic pruning techniques particular to fig and pomegranate and other varieties not covered in our previous classes will take place.
