Boxcar / El Vagón by Silvia Gonzalez S., directed by Lupita Carmona. The play is being presented in honor of Día de los Muertos Arts Festival with Living Arts. The production dramatizes the daily, often deadly, attempts to migrate into the United States. It is a timely immigration story of hope and disaster as five men risk it all for a better life. Our production features a majority Latino cast: Joe Perez: MANUEL Juan Hernández: NOEL Manuel Gaytán: FRANCISCO Eduardo Mora: PEPE Lindsay Bills: BILL Eduardo Saucedo: ROBERTO Eduardo Carmona: HUERO … Telatúlsa (formerly Tulsa Latino Theatre Company) is Oklahoma’s first and only theatre company focused on creating evocative, Latino and Native American-based performance for diverse audiences. Doors open one hour before the performance. The show runs approximately 90 minutes with no intermission. The show contains simulated violence and may not be suitable for audiences under the age of 13. Living Arts was organized for the development and presentation of contemporary art in Tulsa, Oklahoma. We consider art as a basic and functional essential to each person’s full development. Living Arts strives to help create an environment in which art may thrive. We believe art can be a vehicle for social change. We are aware, informed and actively participate in cultural history-in-the-making.
