Come and learn how to properly install your car seat and keep your kiddos safe when riding in the car! According to data compiled by the CDC, injuries sustained during motor vehicle accidents are the leading cause of death for children in the United States. Here at The Alliance of SWMO, we know that every parent wants nothing more than to ensure that their children are safe and healthy, at all times. As such, one very important part of that is safely securing and buckling your child into a properly-fitting, age-appropriate seat while riding in the car.What topics will be covered during the workshop?The workshop will include discussion of the following topics: Understanding car seat options i.e. Rear-Facing Convertible, Convertible, High-back and Low Back BoosterProper Belt PlacementLATCH system vs. Seatbelt: Pros and ConsWhat is a Tether and how do I use it?Car Seat Add-ons: What is and isn't ok to use?Who is invited to the workshop?We encourage parents, grandparents, foster parents and other caregivers of children in car seats to attend our workshop. What happens if my car seat is inspected and deem improper for my child or I am in need of a car seat?No worries! By attending the class, you are able to receive a seat for the reduced price of $20 per seat. We accept cash, check or card.
