URGENT! HUEY ONLY HAS ONE MORE DAY at shelter!

Hi, I'm Huey.🐾 (need to be only dog) My life has been pretty sad....Why can't I find a loving home ? I am back at the shelter for the 3rd time and set to be euthanized November 8, at 8am. I’m an energetic boy that gets overly excited and will jump up and grab and tug at a leash. I don’t need to have my life ended because of this! I just need training. Please call or message this page if you can save me!! I am a 2.5-year-old, neutered, brown and white Staffordshire/ American Pit Bull Terrier (78.9 lbs.). When I came to the shelter this time, I was found wandering in the street. A person opened his car door, and I jumped in. He told the staff that I liked people, and I do. Sadly, I have been at the shelter for 6 days now, and my owners have not come for me. I guess they don’t care. Staff and volunteers always report that I am friendly, wag my tail when approached, come up for attention and petting, and “sit” for treats. I need help learning to settle myself when I get overly excited, especially when there is a leash around, and I treat it like a tug toy. My dog evaluation notes indicate that I am generally “stiff”/defensive around other dogs. The shelter says that I must be an only dog at this time and that children in the home need to be 12+. I need an experienced adopter, in-home training, and a Behavior Team consult before leaving. I think I would be best suited for an active family. I want a chance to live a full life.
