Tired of buying cups of mealworms from the pet store? Want to start your own mealworm farm? Here you go. Everything is set up for you, and the sides/backs of each bin have been covered to reduce the amount of light in the bins. the top bin is a beetle bin with a mesh floor for the eggs to fall through into the bin below... A bin for the eggs & baby worms... A bin for the bigger mealworms to thrive in, and a bin for the pupae (adult mealworms will pupate before becoming beetles) All you need is some bedding (wheat bran/oats, cheap to purchase in bulk from the grocery store) and either some mealworms or beetles to get you started. Toss in a few veggies for moisture and you're on your way to breeding your own feeder worms! The bin setup is $20. Willing to add a cup with beetles to get you started for an extra $5.
