South Corvallis is one of two sites selected for a new correctional facility/Sheriff office, DA offices, and courthouse with a $100+ million dollar price tag. There are many objections to this site. 1. Safety of the children in this community 2. Distance from the new and much needed Crisis Center downtown. 3. Equity sharing: South Corvallis has stepped up an done more than their share to house, feed, and care for our city's at risk population. 4. The cost of the bond measure to pay for this Justice Plan complex 5. Is this the best use of this funding right now? The second site in west Corvallis on Reservoir Road has similar concerns and similar obstacles to providing an integrated justice system complex. Both sites have no public approval. Please use this link to sign the petition. You do not have to be from south Corvallis. Just a concerned citizen.
