Description

I have a Green cheek tourqouise conure. Not DNA tested. Responds to the name Sora. She needs extensive care and attention, if you are not ready or able to give her daily attention and time out of her cage then please do not consider getting her. Without this attention it can and will cause stress and depression. She's very sweet but does have an issue with nipping. We got her from a crappy pet store who was not caring correctly for her. She was already partly sick but is doing great now. We switched him/her over from an all seed diet, which if you have experience with birds you know is not okay to feed them as it could kill them because it causes fatty liver disease, obesity and all sorts of other issues. We use seed and dried fruits as treats. She is on a pellet diet with NO artificial coloring because that is not good for them to eat as well. She's on roudybush pellets which she seems to enjoy. We have been trying to feed her fresh veggies and grains I have those recipes I will give with her if needed. She has not really cared to eat it though but it's essential that she does! She is a very smart bird. She scares my cat away but tries to play with him. She walks right up to my dogs to try to terrorize them or play with them. She's not really scared of them at all. Anytime with other animals should of course be supervised. She does not really care for kids, I imagine because they tend to reach for her and are not genital and don't understand that birds need to be handled slowly with care. I also would say it has a bunch to do with the pet store allowing anyone and everyone to reach their hand in the enclosures and chase them around and mess with them. If you have not handled birds it is important to know that you can spray perfumes air freshener etc around them or in the same room as them as it could make them sick or kill them. Same with lotions, chemicals etc. I would prefer that she/he does go to someone with experience with conures and who have owned them before with no issues. Birds can also easily get heavy metal toxin poisoning so please please do you research. This is a 20-30 year commitment so if you can not do it or think you may give up, or may not want or can not do it for the rest of her life please don't inquire. She will come with her cage, her travel cage, all accessories. Two bags of food, what's left of her seed, freeze dried furites (banana is her favorite), her table top play ground, though I imagine she would like a bigger one sometime soon, her toys etc. I would love it if we could get updates on her and how she is doing. I would like to make 100% clear that if at any time there is any issue or reason you can not care for her anymore you contact me first and return her to us. Going from family to family is not a life that she should live. Her cage needs to be cleaned once to twice a week her water need to be changed every day to every other day. Her wings were clipped when we got her, we planned to let them grow out. Please be smart and do not take her outside without a harness. I am asking $950 for eveything. Everything must go with her. We spent more than that on her and all of her stuff and making sure she was healthy and ready to go. Serious inquiries only and please read the entire post.
