Beautiful sweet pit who needs a loving home

Grace is a very sweet dog. We took her in for a little while because a family member was moving, but they haven't bothered to take her back and we do not have the space or time to keep her permanently. She is great with other dogs and is fine around cats. She needs a loving home with people who can be patient with her. Our family member who had her treated her pretty badly, so Grace can be extremely skittish. This is part of the reason we would rather rehome her than keep pushing for her mother to take her back. She truly is a sweetheart. Our kids have started training her and she listens very well. We will be picky because we love her very much and want her to have love and safety. All of her shots are up to date, except rabies. We don't have vet records because we gave the shots. Her mother said she would pay for the vet to get her rabies but never did. Until this week, we were expecting her to take her back.
