Unique Opportunity for Golf Event at Citi Field (Queens) compensation: $18/hr We are looking for hard-working men and women to assist us with cleaning up golf balls on the playing field of YOUR New York Mets! You will be working with one of our staff members cleaning up golf balls on the field during the event. We will provide you with safety gear, a helmet, and PVC Pipes and you will manually push the golf balls onto the warning track where you'll then scoop them up and load them onto golf carts. The event will be occurring during this time, so golfers will be hitting onto the field during this time. We definitely want to set the expectations ahead of time so you are not surprised by this. Golfers will be hitting chip shots onto the field from the upper decks while you are on the field corralling golf balls. Due to the nature of this event, we cannot stop the event at any time, so you will be asked to walk on the playing field during the event. So we just want to make sure you fully understand the scope of the position and that you will be required to walk for long periods of time, pushing PVC pipes (which can get heavy with the weight of golf balls), DURING the event, so there will be golf balls landing on the field. While it is very unlikely that you will be hit with a golf ball, there is a chance of that occurring, so if that is a concern of yours, this position may not be right for you. It's a lot of hard work, lots of walking, and strenuous pushing of PVC pipes and brooms at times. This position is not for everyone, so we please ask that you ONLY apply if you can commit to the FULL 9-hour shift. We have a very limited amount of openings for this job, so if you commit to work, we expect you to fulfill those commitments. The following shifts are available. Sunday, November 7th - 9am to 4pm Sunday, November 7th - 4pm to 11pm Sunday, November 7th - 9pm to 3am You can apply to one or all of these shifts if you would like.
