Georgetown University’s Women's Ultimate Team is excited to announce our 2021 Book Dive Tournament! This is our program's 18th annual one-day fundraising tournament and charity book drive. Each year we raise crucial funds for our team to continue to play our beloved sport and we collect hundreds of book donations to be distributed to DC area charities! This year, we hope to expand participation in the drive by accepting all kinds of books. Longer novels and gently used academic books will be donated to the DC Books to Prisons Project, while children's books will still be donated to the Angel Book Drive program. When: Sunday, November 20, 2021 at 9:00am Where: National Mall Polo Fields What: A day of frisbee and fun! Who: Members of the DC Ultimate community from local club, college, and high school teams as well as individual players. *Please note: We will play 7s. Most teams are mixed gender (with differing ratios) , but do not have to be so. There will be a division into two different brackets (1. Less competitive 2. More competitive) with placement based on team’s preference.* All are welcome! We are the Women's Club Ultimate Frisbee team –– an incredibly motivated, dedicated, and fun-loving team! We have an A and a B squad that each practice 2-3 days per week and attend 3-5 tournaments per semester. We delight in knowing that willpower begets winning; that hard marks break hearts; that gravity was born to be defied.
