Due to popular demand - we are adding a 2nd service for Christmas Eve! When: Thursday, Dec. 24th at 4:00PM at Barnett Shoals Elementary School parking lot. Who: Anyone who feels like participating! All are welcome. All ages. Please sign up here. We are limited to 50 people (not cars). What: A Parking Lot Celebration! You heard right. We’ll join together in our cars to celebrate Jesus’ birth. We won’t be getting out of our cars, but there will still be lots happening!* There will be Christmas music, Mo. Nikki will lead us in a short service with communion, and good St. Nicholas (aka Ms. Alice) will be here as well, to tell the story and hand out gold coins (ok, not legal tender but it’s yummy: gold foil covered chocolate and candy canes, yay!) Wear costumes if you want. Anything you have at home. Heck a towel on your head works! Come in costume as an animal. Dress up as Joseph, Mary, or anybody or anything from the Christmas story. Decorate the car as a barn or the manger or just put a star on your car. Ms. Catherine, head of Christian Ed, is dressing up her blue PT Cruiser as Mother Mary! Mo. Nikki might be a wise person (if she can still fit in her costume, haha.) Where: Barnett Shoals Elementary School parking lot, 3220 South Barnett Shoals Rd is across and down the street from St. Gregory The Great Episcopal Church. P.S.: Bring a gift for the Christ Child. Anything you have is fine. Diapers, a can of food, a blanket, a mask, a Christmas card… We’ll take these things to the Women’s Shelter. Come even if you don’t feel you have anything to give. Your being with us is a gift in itself.
