Filmmaker Tashi Tamate Weiss will be showing three of her short films "Love Me to the Bones", "Sidelots", "Ts'kiko Crosses the Landbridge" tashi tamate weiss is a storyweaver and energy worker of japanese and eastern euro-jewish lineages. her work with words, movement, music, and film bends genre/space/time, moving fluidly between the mundane and the mystical. Sidelots (2018) is a love story of Black land reclamation told in ritual between Detroit, Alabama and Kenya. Love Me to the Bones (2019) follows a grandchild of the Fukushima diaspora as she reconnects with the spirits of her ancestral lands in the wake of the 2011 nuclear disaster. Ts'kiko Crosses the Landbridge (2020) is a guided rumination on how our spirits travel on after our bodies change form. Clarion Performing Arts Center provides education and live performance opportunities by fusing music, poetry, theater and visual art as one organic artistic experience for individuals and communities.
