Keyboard player needed -- Get in this band

Three-piece rock combo (guitar/vox, bass/vox, drums) seeks a fourth -- need a keyboard player who can do both “sweet” and “trashy.” We’ll be gigging and getting songs together for our next EP. Normally we do like, two gigs per month, and we play at spots like OWL, Gutter, Windjammer, house shows, etc., etc. The sound: Sort of a powerpop vibe, but a bit darker than your average powerpop band? Influences include ‘60s pop and rock, ‘70s punk, ‘80s post-punk, and we’re a lot younger than most of our influences might suggest fwiw, that’s just kinda the well we’re drawing from. It’s like, highly melodic with big punchy rhythms We practice about once per week, on a weekday evening, near DeKalb L, probably relocating practice space to Grand L area this winter. We don’t do a lot of “jamming;” it’s more like one person will write a song and we’ll all arrange it and build it up. Don’t need a virtuoso player, although that’d be cool (lol). Just need someone with a good sense of melody and a knack for getting the hang of a new song quickly. Vocal harmonies are a big plus Posting on CL because we wanna cast a net wider than our own immediate social circles. Wanna reach across local scenes -- we’ve always been into that, it’s worked well, cross-pollination rules and it’s great for the creative brain Hmu if this is sounding good!
