Knitting 101 - The class is intended for the brand new knitter. Knitting 101 Materials are covered in the cost of class. This super easy wash/dish cloth pattern will be the finished product of Knitting 101 with FAC Board Member (ex-officio) Kathleen McCulloch. The class is intended for the brand new knitter, giving him/her the opportunity to practice their new skills –casting on, knitting, purling, and binding off – while completing a project they can use with pride.  We will also examine various yarns and needle sizes, types of stitches and techniques, plus learn about the wonderful world of "Ravelry" .  WARNING - this could be addictive! The Eastern Shore has its own unique heritage. Surrounded by water on all sides with fertile fields in between, we share a rich and diverse history. With respect for that common past, honor to our present artists, and an eye to passing our legacy to future generations, the Fiber Arts Center of the Eastern Shore will tell the story of the rural tradition of fiber arts and its journey to the present day Eastern Shore experience.
