Sweetest young male cat, neutered, vaccinated, front-paw declawed, longs to be the center of your attention. Minor physical needs (see below). Small adopt fee $20 to right home. Located in Matagorda Co. but will travel to meet. Not physically able to be outdoor cat. BACKGROUND Gus was born approx. April 16, 2021, so about 6 months old. He was rescued on May 28, injured, possibly from a fall. He had damage to his back legs and tail. X-rays showed no breaks and he responded to steroids, getting better, though it was clear he would never be an outside cat. You can see in the one pic that he has gained more weight in the back, and the tail still hangs at an odd angle. He gets around fine and is very playful and active, but not a picture of usual cat grace. He is a little clumsy, and is front-paw de-clawed. REHOMING Our older female cat won't accept him. They will "play" and "wrestle” but they won’t quit, and she gets way too rough with him. As a result he has not been allowed to have the run of the house and is closed up daytimes. We think he would really benefit from a loving home where he isn't left alone for long periods of time and he isn't constantly beat up by an older and more dominant cat. Though he was feral and couldn't even be handled as a baby he is now a tubby, loving house kitty who purrs instantly when you show him attention. Great with dogs, big and small, and kids of all ages. Very gentle and attention-seeking temperament. He will be a loving companion to the right family!
