A storytelling program all about the life of Cleveland Browns Hall of Famer and Hudson, Ohio, born Italian American, Dante Lavelli. Born in Hudson, Ohio to Italian immigrants Angelo and Emelia Lavelli, Dante Lavelli (1923-2009) earned fame as a stand-out football athlete while playing for Coach Paul Brown on the Cleveland Browns from 1946-1956. He was nicknamed "Glue Fingers" because of his amazing ability to catch the ball from seemingly out of nowhere. The story of the life of Dante Lavelli is more than just a story about sports. It touches on Italian immigration, WWII, family relations, business, and community. Dante led an interesting life and expert story teller Bette Lou Higgins of Eden Valley Enterprises will artfully share that story with the audience, not only through little known anecdotes, but through rarely seen photographs.
