Family friendly culinary activities for everyone The conclusion of the annual Greater Fort Lauderdale Food & Wine Festival is Family Day presented by Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital. Round up the family, chairs, and blankets for a good cause as we host a toy drive that will benefit Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital. This FREE event promises to be fun-filled with Kid Friendly Cooking Demos, Kids Can Cook Hands On Culinary Classes, Live Entertainment, Art, the JDCH Kid’s Zone, a Curated Selection of Food Trucks and Cocktail Bars. 👩‍🍳👩‍🍳👩‍🍳 Culinary Demonstrations featuring Chef Josie Smith Malave from Top Chef fame and Chef Dario Stephen from Kids Can Cook. 👩‍🍳👩‍🍳👩‍🍳 Kids Can Cook Culinary Classes include: 12:00pm The Art of Cupcake Decorating 1:00pm Ravioli Making 2:00pm Candy Sushi Making 🍕🥗🍔🌮 Food Trucks curated by Burger Beast include: Churromania Cuban Guys Jerk It Miami Roasted Corn Monster Burgers 😜😜😜 Family Day presented by Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital is open to all ages. Get Ready for a baking adventure!!! $50/student Is there a little baker living in your house? Come out to ‘The Art of Cupcake Decorating’, a Kids Can Cook Culinary Class, taking place at Family Day during GFLFW. Students will learn the basics of mixing, piping and decorating cupcakes; all while having tons of fun. All students will get their very own apron and cooking hat to take home. Best of all, students get to eat their creations and take them home! Minimum age to participate in this class is 6 years old. Parents must accompany their student(s) during class time. Get Ready for an Italian adventure!!! $50/student Join us for a trip to Italy! Come out to ‘Ravioli Making’, a Kids Can Cook Culinary Class, taking place at Family Day during GFLFW. During this class students will learn how to make their very own ravioli. Learn how pasta, cheese, sauce, meat and herbs come together in this classic dish. All students will get their very own apron and cooking hat to take home. Best of all, students get to eat their creations and take them home! Minimum age to participate in this class is 6 years old. Parents must accompany their student(s) during class time. Get Ready for a sweet adventure!!! $50/student Don’t like raw fish? How about candy? Come out to ‘Candy Sushi Making’, a Kids Can Cook Culinary Class, taking place at Family Day during GFLFW. During this class, students will learn a brief history of sushi while making this incredibly fun and whimsical treat with candy! All students will get their very own apron and cooking hat to take home. Best of all, students get to eat their creations and take them home! Minimum age to participate in this class is 6 years old.
