2 Pedestrians Die Following Separate Tampa Hit-And-Run Accidents

TAMPA, FL — Tampa police are asking for the public's help to find two hit-and-run drivers who struck and killed pedestrians. On Thursday around 7:45 p.m., a was crossing East Waters Avenue near 16th Street when he was struck by a car. He was taken to the hospital where he later died. Police are looking for an older black sedan made in 1990 to 2000, possibly a Nissan, with dark tinted windows and a rear taillight out. It most likely has damage to the left side windshield. Anyone with information should call the Tampa Police Department or Crime Stoppers of Tampa Bay at 1-800-873-(TIPS) 8477. Then, on Friday at 9:15 a.m., another pedestrian was struck at 3630 North 50th Street. Once again, the driver fled the scene north on North 50th Street. The pedestrian was taken to the hospital and died. The vehicle is believed to be a 2018-2019 Honda Accord that will be missing the front grill. Detectives are asking that anyone with information on this case to call police at 813-231-6130.
