Here are the top stories today in Tampa: 1. Fresco y Mรกs, Harveys Supermarket and Winn-Dixie pharmacies will offer the Pfizer vaccine to children 5 to 11 years old. Customers who walk into an in-store pharmacy or make an appointment online to get a flu vaccine (free with most insurances) or COVID-19 vaccine will receive a free $10 grocery voucher. Ensnarled: University of Florida (UF) faculty banded together to support the professors from what they say is an effort to silence them from testifying against the state of Florida and Governor Ron DeSantis in related lawsuits. Controversy continues to swirl around the institution with an investigation looming. A statement read, "Together, we express deep alarm about what appears to be a serious breach of academic freedom." DeSantis Wins Again: An administrative judge has ruled against school boards across the state, saying the Florida Department of Health (DOH) has the authority to set rules on quarantines and mask mandates.
