UNIONDALE, NY — A man was killed after being hit by a car in Uniondale Thursday night. According to Nassau police, an 83-year-old man was driving a 2010 GMC west on Jerusalem Avenue, near Edgemere Avenue, at 11:23 p.m. when he hit a 72-year-old man. The pedestrian suffered severe trauma and was pronounced dead at the scene. A brake and safety check was performed on the car, and the driver remained at the scene. Police have not yet released the name of the victim. The investigation is ongoing.
