Someone, typically from Ames, dumped off a nice black & white cat in my ditch a month ago. I felt sorry for him and have been taking care of him -- but he fights with my resident farm cat if they get too close to one another. He is friendly, loves to be petted, and can easily be picked up. He also needs to be neutered and vaccinated. This is a one-cat farm and has been for 26 years, so he can't stay here. I offer this deal: I will pay the $77 to have him neutered and vaccinated at the Roland Veterinarian and give him to a good home free. He has claws and so would probably be best as a barn kitty. I don't know if he will mellow out after his surgery, so being a single cat in the barn would be best. E-mail only.
