LASD Search For Man Seen Fishing Deposit Slips From Bank

WESTLAKE VILLAGE, CA — Police on Saturday sought the public's help to aid their search in finding a man who was seen using a "fishing device" to extract deposit slips from a bank in Westlake Village late last month. On Oct. 28 around 11:22 p.m., surveillance cameras at Pacific Western Bank in Westlake Village caught a man using a device to fish out a white envelope containing three deposit slips. Shortly after, he was seen leaving in a gray Mazda CX-7. The sheriff's Malibu/Lost Hills station asked anyone with information regarding the theft or the suspect to call them at 818-878-1808 or Crime Stoppers at 800-222-8477.
