PORTLAND, OR — Neil Olshey, the president of basketball operations and general manager of the Portland Trailblazers, is under review for alleged "workplace misconduct," according to a report by The Athletic. The review was launched by the team and owner Jody Allen, The Athletic reported. The Trailblazers released a statement on Twitter on Saturday, which said officials are reviewing "concerns around workplace environment by non-player personnel at the practice facility." The statement did not identify Olshey as the subject of the review. "While we cannot comment on this pending matter, we are committed to continuing to build an organization that positively impacts our colleagues, communities and the world in which we live and play," the team said. At least one team employee had reported misconduct leading to the investigation of Olshey, according to The Athletic. Employees have also accused Olshey of creating a toxic, hostile work environment where staff members have been subjected to intimidation and profanity-laced tirades, among other bullying tactics, sources told Yahoo Sports. Olshey, 56, was hired by the Trailblazers in 2012. Outside firm O'Melveny and Meyers is conducting the review.
