Did you serve? I did. US Air Force. I ask because you seem to think the military is filled with a bunch of "John Wayne" types. That isn't how the vast majority think. Ever know anyone who's come back from Afghanistan? Ask them what they were "fighting" for? I mean we routed Al Qaeda 19 years ago so why were we there? Oh yea, money. Just like Vietnam Afghanistan became a quagmire. We spent and spent and nothing changed. You can't force an ideology on a culture that doesn't want to change. I thought we learned that already but when there's money to be made well...let's see how long we can keep this going. Big pharma and many defense contractors thank GWB for his contribution to their stock prices and profit margins. Yea our military is ashamed of leaving. What a bunch of bullshit. And for all the complaints on "we left Americans there!" stuff that shit too. We airlifted over 120K people in 14 days. And we continue to get them out. Your boy had NO PLAN. Oh and can you explain why Michael Flynn was appointed NSA Director when he was BEING PAID BY TURKEY? He had W2s on file. How is it that "we" (the USA) hired a person for NSA Director and never vetted him? Don't ya think that should have happened before he was hired? I mean it's the NSA. How did they miss that? Unless they were told to miss it. And on the nuclear strike, Trump wanted to stay in office at any price. He saw that as an option. But he also saw creating civil unrest as his best alternative to establish martial law and stall the electoral vote. Trump is a wannabe mobster. THAT'S why he isn't good for America and Americans. But I guess you'd vote for Al Capone if he was Republican right? And Joe's not perfect. Not by a long shot. But he doesn't stand up and take credit for the work of others, he doesn't try to tell us he knows more about everything than everyone else. And he's trying to address problems. Trump never acknowledged anything as a problem except his campaign promises (which he never fulfilled) and people who spoke the truth about him. Every day Republican politicians show their disdain for the American public by trying to stoke fear with lies. They seem to think people are stupid and will believe whatever they say. Oh wait, there are people like that. Additionally they could care less about average Americans when they play partisan games at our expense. And yes, if the Dems did it I'd say the same thing. But this shit has been going on since Clinton and corporations have gotten richer while we have have to work twice as hard just to stay up. When you vote along party lines regardless of what you're voting on, your allegiance is to your party and NOT the United States. And your party currently only sees rich donors and corporations as Americans. How do I know this? Because regardless of what the GOP "said", most of the legislation during Dump's years benefitted corporations and the rich. The "tax break" benefitted a small percentage of Americans. Temporarily. And some at the expense of Social Security so no, I don't count THAT as being helpful. Actions speak louder than words. And over and over again those actions benefitted the rich. re:Trump's support of the military and veterans (fairfax) (oakland west) © craigslist - Map data © OpenStreetMap Generally speaking what liberals say are lies, at the very least exaggerations and misrepresentations. Need an example, just the other day Biden was asked if his Administration was preparing to pay illegals who's families were separated at the border to verify if they were in fact family members during Trump's Presidency $450K each for any trauma they might have suffered. Biden said it was a lie yet minutes after making the claim the ACLU said Biden didn't tell the truth and his own DOJ said the same. Now the White House released a statement Biden has no problem with these payments to be made. I could go on and on, Biden was asked before we completely pulled out of Afghanistan if he would leave any Americans behind and he said no but as we all know he left hundreds of Americans behind and thousands of our Afghan allies the US promised to take out of Afghanistan should we leave. McCain was one military personnel, a terrible opponent of Trump's, a true RINO Republican the type of Senator who voted against his Party to the determent of our nation. A Senator who early on in his career was involved in the Lincoln Savings & Loan scandal that rocked the nation. To try an extrapolate Trump's dislike of McCain to all of our military who fought wars, were captured etc. is the height of unethical behavior...something you are known for fairfax. When Trump saw how corrupt some of his military appointees were yes he fired them as he should. No point keeping members of the military complex around when they lied to him as they did when he gave the orders to pull our troops out of Syria but they left about a thousand there because "they knew better". Those Generals and Commanders should have faced court martial for disobeying a direct order from the Commander in Chief, Trump merely fired them. Seems you only come to defense of the military when a Republican President is in office, the Joint Chiefs of Staff are granted their powers from the people and our elected leaders, when they decided they don't want to follow orders from the Commander in Chief they can resign they should never try to undermine the elected civilian leadership. We really don't want a "7 Days in May" scenario. Gen. Milley isn't Burt Lancaster. Everyone with a lick of sense knows the President can't order a nuclear strike on his own, there are several officials involved making such a decision and the President has the final say. All Presidents once there's a National Emergency declared as Trump did about the massive wave of illegals crossing our border and his solution to fund more border wall which Congress approved before he became President but didn't fund, can move money around under his jurisdiction to that end. He wasn't committing a dereliction of duty to veterans or the VA, they got their funding delayed at best because of a more urgent matter. Your characterization of this event demonstrates how Democrats massage the facts to fit their lying narratives. You're long over due to put your TDS away particularly when it comes to our military because most of our soldiers are infuriated beyond belief by Biden's cut and run from Afghanistan more than any complaints they have about Trump.
