These house prices are outrageous. This is not the San Francisco Bay Area so stop charging big city rent prices. I live in a studio for 600. My neighbors live in a 2 bedroom for 800. I have never lived in a 1-2 bedroom place for over 1,000. Stop being greedy and exploiting people. You can choose to lower rent and make affordable housing. It's absolutely outrageous you are dispossessing people in your own community!! You want to go to the coffee shop or restaurants and be served, you want retail workers, you want salon staff, etc. but you don't want these people to live in your community?? Or you want them to struggle to survive. This is HUMBOLDT COUNTY. We are still a RURAL community. There is NO REASON you should be charging BIG CITY RENT PRICES. I can live in the BAY AREA for 1,200 a month. Ya'll really need to do some self reflection and make some changes. I am so grateful for my landlords and the few that I know that understand being greedy and selfish is abhorrent.
