I want to put together a band that takes protest songs and makes them groove. Blowin' in the Wind as a 10 minute go-go jam. Or cover "You Haven't Done Nothing" if you want more complexity. The times they need some changing, and the revolution must be funkified. I'll sing some, write some, play bass, rhythm guitar, Drum machine and some keys as needed.You and friends should have a top lead vocal, guitar, drums, Congos, and perhaps some horns. I can arrange a practice space. Blowin' in the wind, A Change is Gonna Come, Redemption Song, Sunday Bloody Sunday, Fight the Power, God Save the Queen. The field is rich, is the desire strong enough? Original songs welcome, just have to groove.
