The Anchorage Ski Club is seeking lift operators to work Saturdays & Sundays from mid November to early April at Arctic Valley Ski Area. This is an entry-level position, with no prior experience required. Applicants must be at least intermediate skiers or snowboarders, with their own equipment, and outdoor, winter-ready clothing. Duties will include loading lifts, monitoring the unloading of lifts, shoveling, interacting with guests, and other duties as assigned. Long periods of time standing outside are required. Pay is $14 per hour, including a free lunch and hot drinks. When possible, lift operators have the opportunity to take ride breaks during the day. A high level of responsibility and reliability are absolutely required. Reliable, winter-conditions-ready transportation is a must. A background check will be performed on all applicants.
