Description
Want to be backed by a reasonably skilled rhythm section? Individual drummer and bass player living far from civilization can provide a strong consistent blues platform for you. Open to Motown, R&B, jazz and rock too, but blues makes a good common denominator. We just want to stay actively playing. No resumes, auditions, royalties or tour buses, just a jam. Great way for a lead guitar player to keep the chops up, and/or more structured play for a singer. The catch? Shell Knob Missouri is not exactly convenient to the bigger population centers. You have to get there. If you're coming from the direction of Rogers on Highway 62, I can carpool about halfway. If you're coming from Branson, we'll just meet in Shell Knob. Either way, there's going to be some travel time unless you already live nearby. Worth the drive? Yeah, it will be.
The gold standard time for jams is usually Sunday afternoon, but there's nothing actually set up yet*, so open to different ideas, including weeknights. Likewise open to different instruments and styles, so if you have a friend who plays power blues on the electric ocarina, bring 'em along. If you're interested and would like to know more, call or email (I suck at text) and we'll kick it around. Thanks for reading - Looking forward to a jam!
*News Flash! - Got one setup for 11/11 Thursday evening at 6:30 if you want to join in...
