NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting
This 8-hour course is a combination of classroom and range instruction designed for those individuals with little to no firearms experience. The course will cover basic firearms safety, nomenclature, function, loading and unloading, the fundamentals of pistol shooting: Hold Control(grip/stance), Aiming (sight picture/alignment), Trigger Control and more), and carry options.
Following the classroom instruction, students will have the opportunity to apply the skills learned on the range.
An NRA Certificate Is Award Upon Successful Course CompletionEquipment Needed
• Semi-automatic pistol in one of the following calibers: .380, 9MM, .357SIG, .40S&W, or .45ACP.
• 1 Quality magazines
• Suitable footwear (no open toe)
• Clothing suitable for training
o baseball-cap-type hat
o long sleeve shirt
o long pants
• Eye protection or non-shattering prescription glasses
• Hear protection
• Note pad and pen
• Estimated round count: 100 rounds pistol
