This is the 44th anniversary of an international backgammon tournament in the public ballroom of a luxury hotel near LAX, Friday December 3 and Saturday, December 4. There will be about 150 people attending. Attendees have to sit all day and night and could really use a chair massage between matches. I would like one person to bring their chair and set up in the ballroom where we play. Just like at the LA County Fair or the LAX Spa Store. No tables, no body massages, just the chair and shoulder / neck massages. Feet also would be great. You will keep 100% of the money you make including tips. Cash only. I do not charge you rent and I will validate your parking. I anticipate you will be busy. Bring a sign with your prices. Most people will want 15 minutes because they have to return to the competition. Probably no one will want more than 30 minutes. We play from 10:00 am to Midnight daily -- peak hours for you are probably 1:00pm to 10:00pm. There is a dinner break from 5-7 and the room is closed. The last person who did this made about $150-$200 per day, although of course there will be slow times and I cannot guarantee what you will make. This is perfect for someone with their own chair and with time off on those days. I expect you to dress professionally, not provocatively. The hotel has a simple waiver of liability you will need to sign. Of course you must be at least 18 and I will ask for I.D. if you look under 30. COVID PROTOCOLS for attendees are proof of double vax, with masks optional. FOR YOU: Proof of double vax emailed to me in advance, plus mask REQUIRED.
