Home Health Care Aide Job Description: I am seeking a reliable Home Health Aide to aid in daily living for person with Lupus in her home. Responsibilities: · Provide health care service in the patient's home. · Perform light domestic and household duties. · Transport and accompany patient to doctors’ appointments. · Help patient with medication management. · Assist with client's personal care activities. On bad days it may require assisting patient to stand, sit, bathe, or put clothes on. · Assist patient with medical record keeping. Must have basic computer skills. · Must be able to help putting walker or wheelchair to patient's vehicle. · Assist with errands such as grocery shopping, picking up medication, etc. Skills: · Must have experience in caretaking. · Must be easy going, compassionate, patient, and non- judgmental. · Must not have a preconceived notion that a sick & disabled person cannot be sick if they do not look physically sick. · Must not have a preconceived notion that only the elderly need assistance with basic care taking. · Takes initiative assisting. · Communicates effectively and respectfully. · Must be able to pass a criminal background check. · Must have a valid driver license. *Schedule is based on both the patient & employee's worked out schedule. *1 person full-time or 2 part-time people needed and 1 on call respite person needed. * I currently need the most help unpacking from a move, being driven to doctor appointments, and organizing my medical paperwork more than anything else Contact: Cindy Garza
