Howdy! Looking to explore a unique cover band concept. If this sounds interesting, message back! This region is filled with Top 40 and classic rock cover bands. There is a seemingly endless supply of “Don’t Stop Believin” and “Brickhouse”. All good, casino dance music, but, I haven’t seen any great old skool country bands. I’m talking tear in yer beer; my wife and dog left me, fightin’ and cheatin’ country music. Cowboy boots and Nudie suits. Rhinestone honky tonk music. George. Loretta. Merle. Tammy. Waylon. Dolly. Johnny. Porter. Charley. Heavy on Tele twang and pedal steel. More than just the music is the vibe. I’m imagining a full variety show of great music with a look and feel as if the audience was transported back in time (albeit with less sexism and racism). Lots of duets and special guests. All of the marketing looks straight out of the 50s and 60s. I play bass. Electric, upright, and baritone guitar (aka tic tac bass) and can hold my own on an acoustic guitar.
