Description
Mid-forties singer/songwriter/guitarist/bassist looking for writing and recording collaboration. Mainly interested in writing songs, recording, and promoting releases online. Got burnt out on gigging years ago. Experimenting in a home studio has always been more interesting to me. Potential goals could include MP3 sales, streaming, making music videos, working social media, etc.
A few influences: Beachwood Sparks, The Beatles, Beck, Black Moth Super Rainbow, The Church, The Doors, Gong (Daevid Allen lineup), King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard, Pink Floyd, Radiohead, The Sundays, Ween, etc. Barely scratching the surface here.
Interested in writing well-crafted songs that combine guitars and synths/electronic elements. I appreciate a wide range of music, and can go in a lot of different directions as long as there is mutual chemistry and the material is high quality.
Devoted to the DIY ethic. I've been home-recording since 1992. Sound quality, clarity, layers, texture, and headphone enjoyment are all important to me in regards to audio production.
I'd like to get together once a week for a few hours of crafting songs & recording (maybe more if something takes off). Interested in a reciprocal collaborative process where songwriting credits are split equally. Potentially compatible with other music lovers who are bright and creative/artistic with a good sense of civility.
I'd like to have a productive social/creative outlet. Maybe one or two other people to inspire each other, bounce ideas around, and move the process forward.
I have many recordings that I can share ranging from recent to stretching back to the late '80s, yet I'm primarily interested in generating fresh material. If you want to collaborate with someone who has a real passion for songwriting and recording, I may be a match.
