Croissant. The name conjures up the quintessential French breakfast item. Flaky, buttery, and just yummy.
There's just something about a flakey, buttery croissant....the flavor, the texture, the yummyness!! The Lakehouse Bakery is proud to present Croissants 101; a hands-on class to learn how to make croissants. Working in teams, students will get hands on experience in making the dough, rolling in the butter, the specalized technique to get all the flaky layers, and how to fill and shape the croissants. We will make butter croissants, almond filled and a pain au chocolate. Everyone will go home with some croissants (whatever's not eaten in class) along with the recipes, tips and techniques to be successful at home. Please be sure to wear comfortable clothing and shoes. Coffee, jams and honey will be provided to taste test your creations. Due to th nature of making croissants, the class time may be longer than scheudled.
